Discussion leaders

In this role your job is to very briefly introduce each speaker, ensure the session stays on time, and support active discussion throughout this session. It is really important for you to keep the session on time so that other speakers/discussions are not negatively impacted. When time is short for discussion, suggest there’s time for only one more question and invite the audience to continue discussions at breaks.

Wireless Network (WLAN)

Eduroam is a world-wide roaming access service that enables access to the wireless network of different academic institutions. Logging in to the network is done by using the user accounts of each organization that uses Eduroam.

Please note that there is no transportation provided by Kick off meeting organizers from the hotel to the meeting place. The local bus schedule and bus stops can be accessed through the interactive trip planner. Please note that the connections are not very frequent. The one-way ticket costs 3 € and is bought directly from the bus driver. (Mobile ticket costs 2,70 €.) A ticket is valid for one transfer (e.g. the return journey) within an hour.

If you wish to use a taxi, please call +358 100 6900 or hop into one at a taxi stand. A taxi ride from the city center to the Ylistö Campus costs about 10–17 €. Taxi drivers do not expect you to give a tip.
